Kissaten @ Jaya One

Recently had dinner with my babes at Kissaten @ Jaya One. I've never heard of Kissaten and I really had no idea what was in store for dinner! Situated in a cozy corner of the first floor, It's hard to miss the romantically lit spot of the building.

Kissaten is a Japanese fusion restaurant with a wide variety of amazing dishes! You have to SEE IT and EAT IT to BELIEVE IT! Here's some of their key dishes that you MUST MUST TRY!

Teppan Mushroom Burger Steak - RM18.90                                      Tomato Cheeseburger  - RM19.90

The first dish was Teppan Mushroom Burger Steak. Hoho~ Silly me. I mean.. I thought it's a burger, expected to see the meat in between two buns! =P The meat was good! Tender and juicy with a flavourful sauce that compliments it! On the right, we have the Tomato Cheeseburger that has a great bolognese sauce with melted cheese on the top of the meat! It was just delish!

Tsukene Teriyaki w Egg Yolk - RM8.90                                                   Buta Yasai - RM32.90 

The Tsukene Teriyaki is probably the cutest pork sausage I have tried in my life! LOL!  I guess maybe the yolk on side made it look really cute! Procedure to eat = poke yolk, dip the sausage in the yolk sauce mix and eat away! Definitely something new to me. LOL!

The Buta Yasai is a one-pot dish made at your table by cooking seasonal vegetables and thinly sliced pork with little water, seasoning and pork stock. The nutrients and vitamins from the ingredients are retained through steaming with the traditional tajine pot. A healthier way of cooking your food. Personally, I loved it! The soup although little tasted nice with all the veg and pork taste.

Sashimi Moriawase - RM68.90                                        Teriyaki Chix Onsen Tamago - RM23.90

My favourite would definitely be the Sashimi Moriawase! I have this big thing for fresh sashimi! Especially if they are super fresh! Sashimi dipped in wasabi + soy sauce is just heavenly! Although.. too much wasabi may hurt your nose quite a bit! =P

The Teriyaki Chix Onsen Tamago pizza is possibly the only pizza I've ever seen with that much seaweed and spring onions all over it! You know the drill with the egg yolk.... POKE IT! LOL! HAhahhahaha! Then only eat the pizza! =P

Pumpkin Cream with Haagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice cream - RM12.90                                                Hot Sake! 

As of late I realized I have this thing for Pumpkin sauce.... never knew I'd like pumpkins but it's actually nice! LOL! Never really thought it is much of any big deal but woohoo.. when paired with some good spices.. just WOW! Definitely must try this tangy, piquant dessert. Very different and unique! =P And we ended the night with some hot sake to warm up the tummy after such a hearty meal! 

I thought the food at Kissaten @ Jaya One was delish! Maybe I'm being bias just because I love Japanese food but hey... if it's good Jap food, what's to complain about? =P I may just pay another visit to Kissaten soon. Can't get enough of their Teppan Mushroom Burger Steak!

Meet my friend, Glenmorangie!

Apparently, my friend Glenmorangie here is one fella that is “Unnecessarily Well Made” and how might you ask? 

Glenmorangie casks are only ever used twice to ensure the optimal amount of flavour is extracted into the whisky.

Single malt whisky obtains its flavour from the wooden casks used in maturation. Many of Glenmorangie’s bespoke casks are made from white oaks grown on the Ozark Mountains in Missouri, USA. They are grown slowly over 100 years and seasoned naturally in the open air for two years to preserve their porous texture – a quality that adds to the spirit’s intriguing depth.

While there are many perfectly good single malt whiskies made in shorter stills, the Glenmorangie Distillery utilizes swan-necked stills that are the tallest in Scotland. Glenmorangie stills stand at a dizzying sixteen feet, ten and one quarter inches (5.14m) high. This height means that only the lightest and purest vapours are able to ascend to the top and condense into spirit, contributing to Glenmorangie’s distinctive complexity and layered flavour.

You can't miss the eye-catching, head turning ladies like Fay Hokulani, Hannah Tan, Linora Low and Leng Yein. Definitely not forgetting the likes of Dominic Lau, Alex Yoong, Josiah Mizukami, Reshmonu and many more who partied up a storm with their presence! 

I had a hella fun time that night although it was a total bummer that I had to be extremely strict with myself throughout the night because I had to work the next day! So much for wanting to leave the party early though! =P I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE! EVER! 

As how Lewis Hamilton would put it,

Kronenbourg 1664's L'Aperitif Fashion - Mercedes Benz AMG Stylo Fashion Grand Prix Edition

Just 3 weeks ago, it was a week of total entertainment for the fashion industry, parties and not forgetting the F1 Grand Prix itself! Me being the big fan of Kronenbourg 1664, made my second trip to Kronenbourg 1664's L'Aperitif Fashion - Mercedes Benz AMG Stylo Fashion Grand Prix Edition.

 Yes, I would like one of these but honestly, think I'd be worried max whenever I drive it. 

LOL! This SLS AMG Roadster looks like a piece of the Bat Mobile! 

Arrived in style with MHB, Tim and Philip! 

Stylo International president and CEO Datuk Nancy Yeoh giving her welcoming speech to the extravagant event.

They've got some very different sense of fashion though! 

The model with a net over her head actually had real living butterflies inside! 

It was sorta creepy being in a temple and a faint ghostly tune playing in the background. 

I definitely thought the hair art reminds me Lord of the Rings... =P

Was recently invited to Glenmorangie's Orange Retro Funk Night Party! Orange being the whole place, The Pool decorated in orange, orange peel skin including orange painted models gracing the night with their retro style! All night long, guests were happily sipping on the Glenmorangie Single Malt Whisky. Glenmorangie Zest was also served - whisky with a twist! It's orange peel skin mixed in Glenmorangie!

With the host, Will Quah who brought the night to life with his charisma and wit; it was definitely a fun retro night! Some lucky guests won exclusive Glenmorangie gifts during the fun and games session.

The brand new Glenmorangie Facebook page was also unveiled that night. Now, fans of Glenmorangie Malaysia can now access exclusive updates, events and promotions at www.fb.com/GlenmorangieMalaysia.
