Taylor Swift has done it again!

Saturday, January 29, 2011

Taylor Swift has done it again. Taking hearts of many many girls and making them face words they themselves don't have the guts to say. Taylor Swift's 3rd studio album is called 'Speak Now'.

I am a huge fan of Taylor Swift because her songs are just so real! By real, I mean... I can seriously relate to the lyrics to most of her songs which ends up with my coming down in tears because her songs literally brings back memories. Some unresolved memories that I only chose to walk away from because I thought it was for the best. From time to time, her songs brings out the memories as if they just happened yesterday though it has been over a year. That just goes to show how much of a connection I feel towards her songs!

'Teardrops On My Guitar', 'Love Story'and 'White Horse' were nice and just way too good to be taken granted for. Then came, 'Dear John'. First time I heard the song, caught the lyrics... hit me straight in my face. Was literally crying. Now, I have just heard 'Back To December' for the first time 20 minutes and seriously, I think Taylor Swift is writing about how I feel! Or at least I can dream that her songs are about me. =P

Now it makes me wonder, have any of you heard a song and suddenly tears just starts coming down? Or is it just me? Maybe I am a tad too emotional, no? Some would say its unresolved issues that is still haunting... I wonder.

But all I can say is that... Taylor Swift knows my weak spot!

Nagomi Valentine Lover's Bento

Thursday, January 20, 2011

Was recently at Nagomi Japanese Restaurant in Jaya 33. =)
I had the privilege of trying out the Valentine Lover's Bento that can only be found at Nagomi Japanese Restaurants.

At first glance, I thought this Lover's Bento was for two because of the pairs of king prawn and sushi roll. The portion is huge! I was mistaken. It is actually for one person! LoL!

Here in the picture

Top left:- Rose Shape Sashimi which is a conbination of Salmon & Tuna Sashimi with Tobiko topping!
Top Center:- Love Shape Sushi Roll with Strawberry & Avocado
Top Right:- Grilled King Prawn with White Sauce
Bottom Left:- Home-made Seabass Crispy Cracker (also known as Suzuki Senbei)
Bottom Right:- Soba Soft Shell Crab Salad

Ok!
The Soba Soft Shell Crab Salad is to die for!
I love the Miso dressing which you are suppose to just pour the whole thing onto the salad! Perfection to the tongue!

Not forgetting the Chocolate Cheese Brownie, the aphrodisiac for the night.
Guaranteed to excite and heighten any form of desire. *wink*

For Japanese food fanatics, I would highly recommend trying out Nagomi's Valentine's Lovers Bento! You're gonna love their dim romantic feel of the restaurant to compliment the Valentine's Day mood! Go get a taste of em' bento set, love birds!

For reservations, do not hesitate to call any Nagomi Japanese Restaurant outlet:-

Life Lesson #1

Saturday, January 15, 2011

Life Lesson #1 :
God is there whether you believe in Him or not.

I know.... Don't start going all religious on me or anti-religious. Hear me out first.....
I'd like to think that there is a God. A single One God. The God of all Gods. As in, be it;-

- the Allah for the Muslims,
- the Buddhist's God,
- the Protestants' God,
- the Indian God,
- the African God,
- the Catholic God,

...all these are actually the One and Only God. It was just interpreted into different races, different countries, different continents, different era because we humans are all human! Tell me two person who are exactly the same?? Tell me! So me thinks that no matter who or what race or religion, we are all actually only praying to the same person just in different language and tongues. This is from a religious point of view.

Then from the anti-religious point of view, well.. look at this way. Without a God, there will be a hell lot of crimes committed and people have nothing to fear other than the Government, the authorities and the criminals roaming the streets. Believing in God teaches people to practice being a good human beings. No religion will teach a person to commit crimes. No religion will teach a person to be pedophiles. No one can actually blame a religion for a crime. Those crimes were committed by imperfect humans who are more susceptible to committing crimes due to physical, mental and emotional imperfections.

In my personal opinion, believing in God will help anyone in terms of mental, emotional and spiritual health. But please do not simply believe in crap that you yourself know is not right. Use your brain! I am sure you can tell the difference between good and bad, yourself!

So what say you?

12 months in the year 2010

Saturday, January 01, 2011
Recap the year 2010......

January 2010
Spent the first day of the year in Singapore! Stayed at Swissotel Singapore, The Stamford. Loved every day there. I mean, its Singapore! I was on my break after finishing my finals. Came home to an extremely fulfilling job which drove me extremely busy throughout the month! Loved every crazy day running about trying to get things done. Met PCK and PCB~!

February 2010
Chinese New Year & Valentine's Day was on the same day. For the first time in 7 years since I had the most extremely quiet Valentine's day too! I was single anyway! LoL! The long stretch competition that I was involved, the Spring Shopping Mall Ambassador came to an end after 5 months going through photoshoots, emcee shows, talent shows, modelling and hosting contests for children! It was the best experience ever!

March 2010
By this time, I was outta of a job and now figuring what to do with my life. Graduated, jobless and wondering where to be for life! LoST! Was still working at events, running errands for mum and basically just hanging out with friends.

April 2010
Then suddenly, without any notice... I made up my mind to go to KL. Went to KL for a 9 days trips for a week filled with interviews. Stayed happily at Trader's Hotel for 5 nights! It was the best hotel stay ever! Plus, it was my first time staying in a hotel room myself! That is because I never go on a holiday myself!

May 2010
Tada! I am in KL permanently. May was a very long long month where at the end of it, I seriously almost thought of moving back to Kuching. I was home sick! The only person whom I thought was gonna be there for me when I get to KL disappeared. Felt rather alone and lost yet again.

June 2010
Everything started picking up for the better. I met the nicest, kindest and self-less person ever who has got me to where I am now, the feeling of contentment, inner peace and abundance joy! He was the one person who seriously picked me up from the ground and took care of me even when I was crying buckets. The one person who stayed close and hovering just to make sure I feel right at home in KL.

July 2010
A month of yet many changes. I went back home to Kuching for my birthday week. Loved every one bit of it and only to come back to a change of work environment. I changed jobs. It was then the mark of straight forward, humdrum work. I moved too.

August 2010
By August, I was very much getting my old self back. Attending events, meeting new people. Socializing. Partying. Balance between work and play. Was also very much doing the whole couple thing. =P Sorry, been out of practice for awhile. Was single for over a year. LoL!

September 2010
I went to Penang for the first time! Rode on a horse for the first time! Felt like Taylor Swift for the first time! LoL!! Roadtrip was fun minus a few unexpected awkward events. LoL!

October 2010
My convocation!! Graduation gown, mortar board, scroll.. the whole graduation works! Though I will never forget the day I had 4 blister on my feet plus a bleeding blister from that stupid overly tight high heels! I had so much fun this month with the chance to attend the Hennessy Artistry Finale and DKNY Fashion MEets Music + Belvedere Vodka!

November 2010
Won an iPod + RM100 for just showing up at the LeX Slide Challenge at the Empire Shopping Gallery! The best memory for November 2010! Not forgetting successful coordinating everything on my own for the DiGi Movie Marathon held in MBO Cinema, the Spring Shopping Mall Kuching when I was all the way in KL! Who needs to organize events in Kuching, find me. I'll hook you up for crews, operations and all the works!

December 2010
Party party party! Best day ever was when I was handing over the iPad to him! LoL! Happiness just filled the boy's eyes! LoL! Plus, I was sober on NYE!

O, how much has changed in the past year! Good changes! =)
In terms of life wise, all is GOOD.
In terms of career wise, monetarily not as great as life is.
I guess, I just have to be patient and be determined to make more $$!

Well, thats it!
That was all 2010 had to show to me!
Lets see how 2011 will turn out to be!
