Charity Concert (Charity Project in aid of Home of Peace)
20th August 2005
Imperial Hall, Crown Square.
We were suppose to have a rehearsal at 12pm but it was dragged until 3pm. Mr. Michael Toh, Elder, Julian and I waited for 3 hours not doing anything. Talking and listening. Unfortunately the other performers on stage were so not happy with their practice that they went on and on. Finally we got our turn. It turns out we only need less than 10 minutes. What a waste of 3 hours. We all went home and came back there at 6pm.
I was there almost 6pm. Met Julian Tang and his sister. We all had early dinner. Most of us had noodles while Ronnie had a plate of spaghetti. Yummy~ He barely ate half when he went to order a plate of noodle with Gerard leaving the plate with me and Julian Gabriel to finish. I rushed and went up with Julian Gabriel. Mr Michael Toh and Elder apparently were having dinner together some where not in Crown Square. So Julian and I had to wait. We went out for a walk, then walked back in.
The place was filled already by then. Mike came. We went for a walk around and looked for Julian cause we kinda lost him. Hehe.. Anyways, finally we got in. The place was filling up already. Julian kept admiring the violinist, Ms Michelle Yi. Her outfit was very nice for guys. Haha.. Jason made a comment in Hokkien which translate to English is something like 'She makes hearts melt and also something hard.' Sounds much stupid in Hokkien. Haha.. Dean really liked her. She was the main star of the concert. She played a couple songs with her mother who plays the flute.
We started the concert with a prayer so that God would be with us and help us throughout the concert. The concert started off with the first performance by Stacy who sang a medley. Edmund, Joshua, Priscilla and a couple other were back-up singers. The medley consist of 'But Your Grace' and 'Amazing Grace'. Stacy's singing was ok but a few comment I heard was her articulation wasn't that good. Not so clear.
Then the violinist, Michelle made a grand entrance for her first performance ' Classical Gas'. She was the main star of the concert. She performed in almost all the performances especially with her mother and her violin teacher. Very sexy and the men loved it.
There was a particular guitarist whom I find rather dashing other than Mike that is. Mike always looks dashing to me, in anything. =P Anyways, about the other guitarist, Dean. He's very fair up close in person. He's built too. Should I say he has a fab bod? HAHAHA..Too much already! I think he's really nice and friendly too. His 'HeLLo' just melts my heart. Haha...!!! I like a song he performed with Peter, 'Kau Ilhamku'. So nice~~
Dean Yeo (Jason's friend) and Jason kept bad-mouthing him saying he looks like an aqua! HRMP!! I don't care. He still looks good to me. HRMP!! Mr Michael Toh had 3 performances. Before each performances, he says a speech or rather speaks to the audience. I thought he only does that in school or church!!
His version of 'You Raise Me Up' was nice and then there was his version of 'Build Me Up, Buttercup' or rather to say our version since Elder, Julian and I help out. Mr Michael managed to get the audience on their feet and follow us do the actions. It was funny. I could see Ronnie doing it. The Archbishop John Ha and the sisters all did the actions too. I guess our performance was fun. =p heheh..
The guest performers, One Way Generation - Youth Ministry also performed their famous 'One Way' and ' Complete'. They had a dance too. A couple of students I recognized like Iggy and Bren Lo. I'm hook on the song now. HAha..~~
The last performance by the violinist was 'Red Hot' by Vanessa Mae. She changed into a red halter top which looks super sexy~ At the end, the MC announced the names of performers and one by one they started going up. I was sitting among the audiences and Feli shouted at me asking me why I wasn't up on stage. I was thinking of just sitting down but changed my mind at the end and rushed up. Sorry to all those on that row whom I stepped on their feet and knock their knees. I wasn't doing that on purpose.
After everything ended, Feli was running around wanting to take pictures with the violinist and the flutist. So I helped her took the pictures. Seeing Dean Yeo who likes her so much, I asked him to come over and asked him if he wanted to take picture with her. At first he was shy shy, don't want but in the end, he wanted so Edmund helped to ask her. So I took a big nice picture of the boys and her.
Then I saw Dean, the guitarist. I was jokingly telling Dean Yeo that I wanted to take a picture with the guitarist but then again I thought no need cause very pai seh~ But Dean and Jason kept saying I should take a picture with him. My face was already turning hot. I bet it was red already by then. I told them, don't need to take la but Jason suddenly told him that I wanted to take a picture with him. WAH!!~!~!~!!!! So MALU!!!! If my face wasn't red before I bet it was super red by then!! So we took picture together and Dean Yeo shook hand with him so ended up Jason and I shook hands with him too.
Dean Yeo said to him 'Great performance', 'I worship guitarist'. In my head, "this boy ah!! Just now bukan main bad-mouth him. Now say nice nice things to him." HRMP! But I said to him that my friend Dean here "He's a drummer". If I knew his name was DEAN that night I would have told him, Dean's name is Dean too!! HAHAH.. How confusing is this????? HAHAHAHA
All in all, I had lots of fun. The concert ended at 10.20pm. Very early if you ask me. Should have gone out for a drink or something but no, I very kuai went home straight. HEhe.. Mike send me home. =P
I guess thats all from me now.
